Our Mission

Using simple and inexpensive application technology to protect the fundamental right to be free from illegal detention, The Court-Access Project, an international NGO based in New York City, has developed CourtApp and PrisonApp.

• CourtApp, currently being piloted in Albania, was created to eliminate the often-unaddressed problem of pretrial detention between a police-stop and the first appearance before a judicial officer.

• PrisonApp will identify and seek the release of persons currently detained illegally both pretrial and post-sentence
